TerHills (Eisden) - Thorpark (Waterschei)

Bivakzone TerHills en Bivakzone Thorpark Eisden liggen langs het National Park Trail (110 km) in het Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen (Limburg) en zijn een initiatief van de parkoverheid van dit nationaal park. 

Gratis reservatie vooraf is steeds verplicht voor beide bivakzones. Op Bivakzone Thorpark overnacht je gratis, reservatie Thorpark. Voor Bivakzone TerHills betaal je steeds een bijdrage van 15 € pp. Daarvoor krijg je ook extra comfort. In het Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen zijn ook nog de bivakzones van Duinengordel gelegen, ze liggen echter op afstand van het Nationaal Park Trail. 

These two bivouac areas are managed by the Hoge Kempen National Park Authorities. Both sites are located near the 110 km long National Park Trail (hiking path). Free reservation compulsory. Bivouac TerHills / Bivouac Thorpark. Please notice that there is a fee of 15 € for Bivouac TerHills, to be paid upon reservation. This gives you access to sanitary facilities with shower. A bivouac area should not be confused with a small camping, rules are different, comfort facilities limited or non-existent and you are held personally responsible to keep the area spotlessly clean and quiet during your short stay. Lots of waymarked walking and cycle trails in the area. Enjoy your overnight stay in the National Park. Leave no trace, just your footsteps.
